Cole Rouse to Make NASCAR XFINITY Series Debut at Las Vegas Motor Speedway

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (September 12, 2018) – B.J. McLeod Motorsports (BJMM) announced today that 2017 CARS Tour Super Late Model Champion, Cole Rouse, will make his NASCAR XFINITY Series debut this Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Las Vegas (Nev.) Motor Speedway.

“Getting an opportunity in one of NASCAR’s National Series is a dream come true for not only myself, but my entire family,” said Cole Rouse. “The goal for Saturday is to keep the fenders on it, gain respect from the other drivers, and to learn. Thank you to everyone that has supported my dreams over the last several years. We’re going to have a lot of fun this weekend.”

In 2015, Rouse burst onto the Super Late Model scene with a dominating performance in the All-American 400 at Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville located in Nashville, Tenn. Unfortunately, a late race mechanical failure relegated him to a 5th-place finish. In 2016, he competed in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West (NKNPSW) for Sunrise Ford Racing. He scored 4 top-5’s, 12 top 10’s and finished 8th in series points. History would repeat itself at Winchester (Ind.) Speedway in 2017, when he led the first 118 laps of Winchester 400 before a mechanical failure ended his shot at victory. Despite the heartbreak, 2017 was a very successful season, scoring two wins, 5 top 5’s and 9 top 10s and 1 pole award, propelling him to the 2017 CARS Tour Super Late Model Championship, driving for Kyle Busch Motorsports.

The 21-year-old Fort Smith, Ark., native currently competes full-time in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series for Bill McAnally Racing. He sits 4th in NKNPSW points with just a few events remaining in the 2018 season, including Thursday’s Star Nursery 100 at the Las Vegas Speedway Dirt Track.

“I am super excited to have Cole join our team this weekend,” B.J. McLeod said. “I’ve heard a lot of positive things about him over the last few years. He has a lot of natural ability and I am really looking forward to having him climb aboard one of our cars here at BJ McLeod Motorsports.”
